Connect Envelope to payment apps
Payment services such as Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Cash, and Meta Pay can use your Envelope account or debit card. Each provider controls its own verification process, transfer timing, limits, and fees.
Before connecting an app
Find your Envelope account and routing numbers in the Account tab. Your debit-card details are available in the card section. Only enter this information in the provider's official app or website.
Venmo
Search for Envelope through Venmo's bank-linking flow or add your Envelope account manually. You can also add the Envelope debit card. A bank connection can be used to transfer a Venmo balance to Envelope; a card can be selected as a payment method where Venmo supports it.
Cash App
Add your Envelope account and routing numbers, or add the debit card. Cash App allows a limited number of linked bank accounts and cards, so you may need to replace an existing connection.
PayPal
Link the Envelope bank account or debit card in PayPal Wallet. The bank connection can receive transfers from a PayPal balance, while either connection may be available for payments depending on PayPal's rules.
Google Pay
Add the Envelope card as a supported payment method. Availability varies by device, region, and the current Google Wallet or Google Pay experience.
Apple Pay and Apple Cash
Add the Envelope card to Apple Wallet for contactless purchases. Apple Cash can use a linked debit card for eligible person-to-person transfers. See Add your card to Apple Pay.
Meta Pay
Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger payment options vary. Where direct card linking is supported, add the Envelope card. Where a Meta product uses PayPal, connect Envelope to PayPal first.
Transfer timing
Bank transfers may take one or more business days. Some providers offer instant debit-card transfers for a fee. Check the provider's confirmation screen before submitting because Envelope does not control third-party fees, limits, reversals, or processing times.
