Card security, lost cards, and disputes
Act immediately if your Envelope card is missing or you see a transaction you do not recognize.
If your card is lost or stolen
Lock the card in the Envelope app if you can access your account.
Call Visa's hotline at 1-833-333-0417 immediately to report it lost or stolen.
Review recent transactions for activity you do not recognize.
Update merchants and mobile wallets after a replacement card is issued.
Do not wait for a missing card to turn up before locking or reporting it.
Dispute a card transaction
Call Visa's hotline at 1-833-333-0417 and follow the prompts to verify the card account. Choose Dispute Card Transaction from the automated menu.
Have these details ready:
Merchant name
Transaction date and amount
Why the transaction is incorrect or unauthorized
Any communication with the merchant
Receipts, cancellation confirmations, or other supporting information
For a purchase you recognize but believe is wrong, first try to resolve the issue with the merchant when it is safe to do so. For unauthorized activity, report it immediately and do not contact a suspected scammer.
Protect your account
Never share a one-time verification code.
Envelope Support will not ask you to move money to “protect” it.
Use the official Envelope app or the number above rather than contact details in an unexpected message.
Consider using an Envelope virtual card for recurring merchants so one card can be replaced without affecting every payment.
